It was highly unlikely Sevannu would just go out and take a time out at Merlottes. He didn't really care for the atmosphere that had happened in the past month, but it had simmered down some once all the havoc in the town mellowed out. He walked. It was a good distance, especially while being night time, but he didn't much mind it after the night he had before.
The place wasn't that loud. Calm music, Arlene had a seemingly relaxing night. Most of the other townies he didn't really know, but he smiled anyway when he walked through the door and caught eyes with fellow patrons.
"Hey babycakes...." She smiled, red hair shining in the dome lights glare. Arlene was such a cute run-about, but she had a quality about her that screamed 'I need a baby daddy', and he already knew that was trouble. Not that she was his type. Many women managed to turn him on, but he didn't take to just anyone. "Why'on you go on and grab yourself a seat, I'll be right there." Sevanni smiled and nodded with the obvious blush a guy his age usually held when a woman called you some sort of pet name. Sevanni didn't mind it from her, but there were always certain people one took to in like.
There was the one time he had done it. It had been in Lauren Fletcher's attic on that tan fabric couch that was covered in a dark green sheet. It was a clean attic, for an attic, but she was determined to do it once and for all, and Sevanni had decided to get it over with.
Surprisingly enough it was rather enjoyable. He lasted longer than either of them had thought, which he assumed was a good thing, and later she had confirmed it. Ever since then he hadn't been with anyone.
He turned left and headed toward the side booths by the window, removing the long dark gray wool coat from his frame and hanging it on the side hook that hung on the pole beside the booth seat. Sliding into the seat and placing forearms and hands on the table. Turning his head left to look out the window, he shouldn't have had his back toward the door, but it didn't matter that night. He came to relax, and he had no beef with anyone in Bon Temps.
If anything threatening had come through the door, everyone would feel it and make a gesture, moving his attention to it and start that brain a thinkin.
"So What can I getchya?" The red headed waitress asked, causing him to slghtly flinch but where she wouldn't notice so well. "Uhm....." Damnm he didn't even think about it, but one thing did come to mind. "Oh....uhm....how bout some of those Onion Rings Lafayette makes so well....." He strummed finger tips against fingertips..."And a Coke....." She smiled and before she stopped writing he changed his mind. "No wait.....Dr. Pepper." He nodded yes as if he had come up with the brilliant order. Smiling and letting air out as he chortled.
"Good?" She nodded chin down looking at him. Sevanni nodded in return with a breathy chuckle once over. "Yeah..." She smiled some more and turned, tucking the pad in her apron after ripping off the ticket. It had been quite a while since he had eaten a decent meal, lately it had been snacks here and there, or toast and a bit of spread. Not once did he actually sit down for a home cooked meal with his family. It had been days.
Now all he had to do was wait for his stuff so he could mow down. If only she would remember to bring him Ranch. If not he could always remind her. Sometimes he liked to dip things in stuff other than the usual ketchup on the onion rings.

[/url] It’d been a weird couple of weeks. Her dad suddenly but her on lockdown. And that meant she hadn’t gotten a supply of food she was looking for. She almost ripped poor daddy’s head off. She fidgeted uncomfortably, pausing on the street. How long could she keep a secret like this up? In Louisiana some things were just unexplainable. She couldn’t waltz up to dad one day, and say ‘Yeah. Dad I’ve been a vampire for about a year. But there’s no reason to freak out. I drink supplements..usually. But I would never bite you daddy. Because then I’d be put in jail!’ She groaned, tilting her head back, blond hair cascading down her back. She looked amazing as usual. And heading to Merlottes. Maybe catch a supplement? Whenever her dad and her headed out for dinner, she resisted lurching at a neck. She pulled at the bottom of her skirt, rolling her shoulders. Good thing she wore heels too. She’d probably catch an older meal. But no bad blood. She let out a disgruntled noise, and poised herself like she had before. As tall as she could get, and lean. She was the image every girl would kill to have. To be. Running long fingers against her face, the cheeks, and the brows, she sighed. Yes. People would kill her just to be her. She closed her eyes, pausing once again. Be cool Rose Scarlet . It’s just Arlene, a couple of humans, and that’s it. It’s fine..you’ll be a good little vampire, and not kill anyone. Her eyes opened again, a small smile tracing her lips. Yeah, she’d be a good little vampire. Or as good as it’d get. The smile instantly left her lips, and she pranced up into Merlottes, most of the speaking stopped around her. Guess she had that strong of a presence. Meeting each eye that looked into hers, she felt either they melted, or they cowered away. Arlene waltzed up to her, smiling brightly. “Hey there Rose..Scarlet,” She remembered the Scarlet..good points on Arlene’s side. Eyes swept over her, and her size. “Find a man suitable yet?” She said with no emotion. It wasn’t her business. But there she was, asking. Her dad was single. But out of her league. Arlene didn’t answer her. “I’ll get you soon..hold on.” With another sweep over Rose Scarlet’s features, she turned. Rose Scarlet eventually found herself a seat, away from most of the crow. She so would have preferred Fangtasia over Merlottes. But her dad wanted her in the city. And she couldn’t go around disobeying, and getting locked up all over again. Lips pursed, eyes down cast. Arlene came to take her order. “The usual..with..whatever you feel like…hmm..” She purposefully thought it over. “The smallest order of fries you have.” With a sweet smile, and a scowl from Arlene. Her eyes trailing on Arlene as she walked away, muttering about something. Rose couldn’t help but crack a smirk. The talking level had returned to a normal level. No sigh of relief came from her. Arlene returned momentarily with her usual. Just the drink. Now she had to act like a lady. It’d be a little weird, seeing some petite, tiny, girl chug a drink like this. So she sipped it, little by little. The urge to just throw it down the back of her throat tempting. A little dribbled ran the side of her lips, and she dabbed at it with a napkin. A hard feat. Good god if only her mother could see her now. She’d be shocked. That she’d been raised better by a man, then a drug mom like her. She clenched her jaw, forcing the thoughts out of her head. She decided to occupy by herself, by looking blankly across the little tavern. And a boy caught her eye. He was cute, looked human enough. But he looked a little..taken. Like he already had someone, or people on his back. So she’d back herself off of him. Long lashes dabbled on her eyebrow, and she turned back to her drink. Took a light sip, and then another. Arlene came with the small order of fries. A little disgruntled looking too. “Arlene..” She slipped a twenty out behind her bow buckle. “This is just a tip..” No wasn’t an answer. Clear as day too. She may have been a coldhearted bitch most of her time, but that small other half, had an odd way of showing it. About to deny it, Rose Scarlet leaned over, poised again, and put the bill in her pocket. “Take it.” Stern spoken too. Arlene didn’t look happy either, but she walked away. Rose Scarlet went back to acting like nothing had happened. And in her mind nothing had. Taking one fry, and biting delicately into it. She was a lady. And ladies didn’t chow down on everything in site. No matter what species they were either. True ladies, acted like ladies, as long as they lived. Another sip of the drink, and another bite of the fry. She kept her eyes on the small meal in front of her. Bored. As usual. She had no school friends, because she was home schooled. She couldn’t go shopping, because by the time she was free to go out, the best clothes were gone. But hey, the life she was living right now, was quite the time of her life. Rose Scarlet’s eyes poked up. Maybe she’d get a dog. A husky. Or was Louisiana too hot for that kind of dog? She’d ask her dad later. Running a tongue along her lips, she was sure by now she’d have half of the boys at this place thinking about her. Usually happened with daddy’s colleagues too. Tedious and continuing. A shadow loomed over her. Blue, icy hues looked up. “Yes?” She asked, inquiring that she wasn’t interested in the man standing in front of her. She was interested in something else about him. His blood. The man appeared drunk, and that was immediately enough to make her not want to drink his blood. “Hey there pretty lady,” a Texan accent. “I was wonderin’ if you’d show my boys a nice time, cause you sure’ look like you know how too.” He laughed, throwing a swig of beer down his throat. Stifling back a smart remark, and a scowl, she took a breath in. “I would never in my life put myself up on a showcase like that. It’s demeaning. And it also shows that you’re too animal of a man to actually treat a woman like she should be. So I suggest you get some class, loose about one hundred pounds, get a hair cut, shave your beard, get rid of that accent, and come back to me. I’m sixteen.” Letting out a howl of a laughter, her smoothed back some greasy hair. “Listen here. You may think you all that, but your just a wrench. A tool. You might wanna tell your daddy you ain’t comin’ home tonight.” He put a hand on her small wrist. Rose Scarlet wasn’t going to hold back any longer. She was a woman of many talents. Her being small, and extremely strong, one of them. Hand on top of his, ripping it off her porcelain skin, she gripped it tightly. Standing, and whispering as close to his ear as she could get. “How about you look here sir. I can kill you. I will if I have to. Don’t ever talk to me again, don’t ever look at me again, don’t even think about me,” her grip tightened even more. “And leave and never come back. I’m sixteen, you’re what, fourty? Yeah, see the age difference. Go tell your friends, that they better never come near me again? I suggest you go back to your Texas wife.” She noted to the wedding ring on his finger. He looked at her, squinted eyes. She kept calm and blank. “I like ‘em feisty.” Rose Scarlet let out a low growl, and bought back her fist, and slammed him right between the eyes. He stumbled backwards. Holding his nose. A rushed in Arlene, gave Rose a warning type look. “He was implying sexual activities to a minor,” She tilted her head a quarter way. “What was I supposed to do? Let him?” Arlene let out an exasperated sigh, and looked down at the man. “I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to leave sir. Your causing a disturbance for people trying to enjoy their meal.” The man let out a couple of mumbled words, stood, and walked out, his ‘boys’ following him. Rose sat down, and went on drinking. Not knowing what to do, Arlene walked away. Rose let out yet another sigh, and yet again, pretended like nothing had happened.

His drink was brought over, a couple of dopey boys entering through the door and making their way to the opposite end of Merlottes. A pool game night for them, the usual drinkers. "Thank you." He said to Arlene after she brought the Dr. Pepper. Since all he had ordered was an appetizer, it wouldn't take long for the basket to make it's way over to him.
A few times he glanced out the window, catching a glimpse of a couple of cars pulling up, cutting off lights and making their way into the bar. There was a girl, he could barely see, but he could tell she was rather young.
Everyone of all ages went to Merlottes because it wasn't just another ordinary bar. It was a place that served food to the public, and the waitress' always checked I.D.'s when they served alcohol to anyone that looked under twenty-one. Arlene had done it a few times to Hoyt in front of the whole bar one day during lunch time, and even as Sevanni didn't quite know him and Jason Stackhouse directly, he still laughed at the outcast joke.
Out of his thinking Arlene had brough the basket of onion rings, laying down the Ranch dressing. Everytime Sevanni got onion rings or fries or even sometimes a bacon burger, he always asked for Ranch. It would be shocking if she didn't. "There you go sweetie." Her southern bell tone was so pure, close to his. They had lived in Louisiana for years, so it was only natural.
"Thanks Miss. Arlene." He let out a breath, finally something that would end up in his gut. Again she reminded him to just call her Arlene, but he was so gentlemen like that it came out naturally. As she took her leave, Sevanni pulled out some napkins from the dispenser, pulling the basket forward and taking hold of the little ramakin filled with Ranch. Ready to make fingers greasy and chow down.
Sevanni had been a growing boy. He didn't take much activity in sports or anything, but he managed to work out in the yard during some of his free time. He did like field hockey, but after his father passed, his mother was too worried about him getting severely injured. A normal fear after losing the one you had spent most of your like with.
It took ten minutes for a quarter of the basket to go down. He was already on his second refill and still working his way to the end. There was a few loud hearty laughs behind him, putting a ring in his mouth as he turned to view, maybe someone told a joke or made a shot and was being picked on. With him laughter was contagious, but he smiled while sticking the remainder of the ring into his mouth, turning back around and swiping some Ranch up with another ring.
Long hard sips were taken of the fourth refill, his stomach full after finishing the basket. It wouldn't be long before he had to use the bathroom, but he was going to sit there and let it all sink in.
Sevanni had been caught in his own thoughts about the previous night. Wondering if he would ever see the vampire again. If he wanted to see him. It was an everyday occurence, or nightly, to run into a vampire, but not for him.
When he got home he had let his body rest against the door for what seemed like an hour. Still waiting for his heart to slow down from the harsh thumping it gave against his chest just by being around him. Why did it feel so incredible? Scary?
Knocking him out of his thoughts had been the loudness of the men nearby, then the scornful wisps of a girl. She looked so young, younger than him, and she had a certain glow about her. Eyes widened as she put the man in his place. How could she do that? For someone her age and size it seemed as if it could be impossible. She must have taken classes for self defense.
When the dust settled down he took a moment to refresh, rolling up dark blue sleeves with a push of handy wiped hands, the button down covered by a white and navy sweater vest. He could leave the wool coat where it was, he hadn't paid for his check yet, or left a tip, but he was going to need another Dr. Pepper.
He stood, making his way over to the table where the girl sat, meeting Arlene half way through the room. "Could I have another refil Arlene?" His slightly deep tone ringing out and she replied with a nod. "Sure thing, I'll bring it out to you in a bit." Walking away while carrying some dishes toward the back.
His head turned, followed by body, finishing his journey toward the female. Hands slipping into pant pockets. "That was some strength I saw there." Little lonely country boy spoke, his awkwardness slightly apparent, but he relaxed stiff shoulders while eyes looked around and then back to her. "I don't think I've seen a girl your size take down a man like that......No offense." He meant toward the size. She could have been a two foot little person and have done the same like that, but she wasn't no midget. She was a damn girl.

Her eyes trailed back to the male again. Drinking a soda, and having a plate of Onion Rings placed on his table. Didn’t seem to be a very healthy eater, but looked like he was. It was disgusting. She couldn’t help but grimace at it. Didn’t they know what was in that stuff? She had to fight the urge to shudder, or gag. She didn’t know which to do first. So she did neither. The Onions fried, and breaded. Rose Scarlet needed to stop thinking about it or else she would gag. She bit her lip in, drawing just a hint of blood. He spoke to Arlene, probably thanking her. It was common courtesy to do so. Eyes sweeping over his body once more, proving herself right. He was in shape, no matter how bad his eating habits were. Or how disgusting. And she just watched him for a while, downing onion ring after onion ring, refilling cup. She barely even had half of hers drunk, and had only eaten a maximum of three french fries. Her throat lurched up, closing, as if she was going to throw up. Finally, after grueling seconds, she turned back to her basket and cup. Some people didn’t know what they looked like when they ate..
People walked past her, but it was like they were in a blur. Like they weren’t really there. Or maybe she wasn’t there. A little hard to tell. She patted her hair, making sure nothing was out of place. And she noticed the fact she drew a little blood from the hit she delivered. Furrowed eyebrows, and a little pout, she picked up a napkin, spat on it, and cleaned the blood right off. “Much better..” She said under her breath. Hues scanning the area once more, she was relieved to see that no one her, or her dad knew had been there. If they saw her do what she had just done, it’d be house arrest for Rose Scarlet. And she had just gotten off of it. And then he stood. Leaving so soon? Watching him discreetly out of the corner of her eye. No, not leaving. She wanted to curse under her lips. He was coming over to her. Wasn’t it clearly written on her face that she didn’t want to be bothered? He continued his walk over to her. And stood there. Just stood there.
"That was some strength I saw there." Rose dared to smile a little. He didn’t know how right he was. She re crossed her legs underneath the table, and tilted her head at him. She wouldn’t say much. Didn’t want to scare a full grown looking man. “Yeah. I guess it was.” He looked so out of place. He didn’t know what to do. “You can sit if you want, I don’t bite,” A wicked little grin. “Much.” She motioned to the seat across from her. Now that she was up close to him, or more like him to her, she could fully make out his features. Very handsome with his pale eyes, olive skin, and tousled hair. But much to old for her taste. Go find they guy she just knocked between the eyes. "I don't think I've seen a girl your size take down a man like that......No offense."
Her eyes flashed, but she calmed down. At least he said no offense. Otherwise there’d been another man laying on the floor, dazed and confused. All she did though, was bite down on a sharp moving tongue. “No one has. No offense taken.” She darted her eyes away from his. Beneath though, some offense was taken. She turned back to him, a blank face, and a voice that was meant to be sultry. She wouldn’t seduce and kill him here. Arlene would kill her for sure for that. “I’m Rose Scarlet. And you wouldn’t believe me if I told you where I get some of that strength.” Looking him directly in the eyes.

“Yeah. I guess it was.” A half smirk half smile reared it's head over lips. “You can sit if you want, I don’t bite,” A wisp of air was released through nostrils, looking over at the chair and replying with a thank you as he pulled out the chair then took a seat. The word much was thrown into the mix, but he only assumed she said it because sometimes people said things like that. Teasing. He awkwardly smiled, but the relaxing feeling came over him again ever so slightly as he sat there.
“No one has. No offense taken.” Pursed lips turned into an understanding yet pouting smile with tight lips closed and the smirk fading away. “I’m Rose Scarlet. And you wouldn’t believe me if I told you where I get some of that strength.” Right about now he would believe it. Just because of everything that happened the night before, he believed that nearly anything was possible.
Was Rose Scarlet her first name? First combined with a middle? Was she the type that had to head first and last combined to feel special? He wasn't sure about it, but he did feel like he had to call her by that no matter what. "Rose Scarlet......" Speaking as he was trying to place her. Nope....not a memory."Well Rose Scarlet....." He shifted in his seat, letting forearms rest on the table in front of him.
"I'm Sevanni.....Black......." He paused then spoke out the rest of his name. Maybe he didn't quite make it so clear as to it being his last and not just a long first name. "My name I mean." He sunk into himself slowly and sat back densely in that chair. Arlene moving over and placing the Dr. Pepper in front of him. "There ya are Suge." Sevanni looked up at her as he sat with hands on his lap. "Thanks Arlene." Spoken dullfully as if he had been a shot down bird. Why did he have to be so irregular? Different.
"Trust me....You'd be surprised to the things I know about round here." There was that southern tone shifting from his throat as he spoke. Like some redneck or hillbilly. Not that there was anything wrong with being one, it just wasn't who he was, but the voice and accent did fit the crime.
"So.....where did you get it from?" Earlier he had half a mind to reach out and shake her hand, but the last time he had done that he had somehow befriended a vampire. He wasn't so sure that he was ready for a new kind of friend like that. Maybe she wasn't.
He could feel a dangerous vibe from her, but it was more protective of herself than a threat to anyone around him, or him for that matter. He slunk his head forward, whispering tones lifting as he asked her a rather humorous question. "Are you a vampire?" He sat back, chuckling. It was a logical question, but he had asked in a joking manor. So what if she was? One thing was for certain, as on guard as she was, did she think he was her next meal?
How devastating that would be. And such a shame too.
But Sevanni was chuckling, thinking it was a joke and her answer would obviously be a no. But he hadn't opted to shake her hand. Feel the cold and find out. No. For now it could remain a joke to him. Unless she said yes.

She listened to him intently, every breath he let out. Everything. The small blissful word of thanks even. His awkward smile was beginning to grow on her. Like the feeling of having blood under her tongue was too. Unclenching and re clenching her jaw. She wondered what he looked like pouting, or looking as good as her could get. The urge to lick her lips was itching at her. She almost realized her eyes were glued on his neck, trying to pick out the pulsation in it. The pout came out, and lips twitched to smile back. It didn’t happen. The clear face still painted on. Would, or could it be cracked by this man in front of her? "Rose Scarlet......" A low rising feeling crumbled in her stomach, probably a barrier she’d built up against men. He sounded as though he was trying to get something straight. She’d never seen him. He’d probably never seen her. "Well Rose Scarlet....." She dragged his eyes away from his neck, up to those pale eyes again.
His shifting, made that barrier rebuild herself, eyes alert. "I'm Sevanni.....Black......." Sevanni, eh? Seemed like an..interesting type of name. Obviously original, creative. Where did his parents come up with a name like that? "My name I mean." She almost rolled her eyes’ of course that was his name. Why wouldn’t it be? No, Sevanni Black was his undercover spy name, and he secretly worked for the CIA. Really? Arlene sauntered up, placing his Dr. Pepper in front of him, shooting her a look. A look that said ‘Don’t you dare lay a fang on him or I’ll kill you.’ Rose Scarlet smiled politely back. "There ya are Suge." Her eyes swept to Sevanni’s. "Thanks Arlene." It was her turn to pout. The way he spoke. Like a child who had a dream crushed, a dream he really really believed in. It was saddening really. He thought he was an outcast. “Your not different you know, Sevanni,” She inspected a fry before biting a small piece off. “Your unique. And special. You’ve probably experience most things..normal people wouldn’t ever get too..” She peered at him over top the growing cold French fry in her grip. Cold eyes bored into his. She wouldn’t to drain that in his head.
Make sure he knew it too.
"Trust me....You'd be surprised to the things I know about round here." Dropping the fry back into it’s container, she crossed her arms and placed her chin on them. “Really? What would shock me? Did you go grave digging and come across a patch of dirt from a man buried in 1977?” She mocked pouted, her eyes widening. It was like he knew what type of world existed outside of the one he lived in. Like he knew about her kind. But his southern drawl was drawing on her, attracting him to her. But it was complicated, forbidden. The way he looked, 6 years older than her. Sneaky. Her lips parted, a small breath escaping her lips, as if she was going to say something. Nothing came out.
Because he beat her to the punch.
He leaned forward, exposing beautiful eyes, and a soft tone. "Are you a vampire?" And she instantly clammed up. Arms falling, eyes guarded, pursed lips tight and tucked in. How could he really guess that? But he laughed. Like he thought it was funny. It was the complete and exact opposite. She’d prove it. She herself leaned in, so that almost their noses were touching .Dangerous hues cast into his. She breathed along his lips, lids half closed. “Why Sevanni..you are the winner. And it’s not exactly a laughing matter if you ask me..I’d be scared. I’m not like any other vampire you’ve probably socialized with. I’m dangerous, in fact. I could take you out back, and kill you right now.” Her eyes searched his, trying to find a trace of fear. “Would you like that, hm?” She tilted her head. She knocked her nose lightly against his, falling backwards into her chair. Rose Scarlet went on again, pretending like nothing had happened. Besides the glares she could feeling coming for Arlene. Oh well.
She never made any claim to Sevanni.

“Really? What would shock me? Did you go grave digging and come across a patch of dirt from a man buried in 1977?” Her words were rather unruly, he had just decided to make a simple conversation with the girl, but she had caused him to slightly frown, which wasn't a very good look on Sevanni. He could have grabbed his drink then and there and went about his way to the booth he had occupied previously. he could finish the drink, pay his bill and somehow go home.
Sevanni had leaned forward, asked her a question, and without being prepared for the worst, a joking question had been claimed as a non joking answer. “Why Sevanni..you are the winner. And it’s not exactly a laughing matter if you ask me..I’d be scared. I’m not like any other vampire you’ve probably socialized with. I’m dangerous, in fact. I could take you out back, and kill you right now.” Spoken after she had leaned forward, surprising him some as her nose lightly moved near to his.
The words she spoke had been rather dark for him. The way she spoke those words. The threat lying inside of it. A knot formed in his throat, pushing it's way down with a hard swallow. Sevanni had pushed back away from the girl after an overwhelming sensation of fear and nervousness had crept up into his spine. There were those bells again. Chiming away. This time it had only been harder and more chiming than they had been with Shaden.
“Would you like that, hm?” She knocked against his nose with hers and Sevanni had sat back into that chair. his hands formed around the cold sweaty glass of Dr. Pepper, ready to drag the cup away with him and retreat back to the booth.
Rose sat back and acted as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile Sevanni was still trying to reel over the sensations he was feeling. Worried about whether or not if he had left would she follow after him and catch him between the trees on the way back to his home? Would he make it back alive or not. Was she serious? Was she a human like him and pretended to be a vampire.
So his chuckle had died away, but maybe he was overreacting. It wasn't like she showed him fangs or anything just to prove it, but he did look around to have eyes meet over his. Some had told a story about getting the hell outta there. Arlene was worried, and whispered something to Sam. After a moment or two Sevanni had moved his eyes toward his cup, then looked up at the girl. A slight hollow chortle before he could get words out.
"I uh.....I think I'm a call it a night......" He rose from the chair, he had to at least get away from her. Use the bathroom, stall for some time and hope maybe someone would give him a ride home. "It was uh....." A release of hair with a slight underchuckle. "Was nice meeting you." He held out his hand, hoping that she would take his and shake it. He could see if she was cold or warm. Know the difference in their body temperature.
Sev had felt it with Shaden, he would know the difference simply because he wasn't a dumb kid. Then he could go drop the drink off at his booth, run to the boys room and return for his coat. Maybe slip in a question for a ride with someone he was familiar with. That is, if Rose had turned out to actually be a vampire, and since she threatened him as she had, he knew he would need to take precaution.

The surprised look on his face made her veins course with something. Making a boy like him turn to a little surprise, and or shock, was always good humor. Leaning back in her chair, stretching her arms, the floral shirt picking up over her flat stomach. And when he had pushed back, she knew she had him quivering in his shoes. A sixteen year old girl had frightened the hell out of what looked like a grown man. A satisfactory smirk traced the outline of her lips, but never met her eyes. A true monster. She re crossed her legs once again, knocking her leg up and down, broadly. Like she really had nothing to do. And in this case, she didn’t. She dared to finish the rest of her drink, taking in one more fry. She was dead, what would it do? Blow her up like a balloon? She almost snorted at the face, but simpered herself down. She watched his hands on the glass. She rubbed slender hands on gray leggings, and picked an invisible piece of lint off of her florally designed shirt.
Icy hues glanced up at him, waiting to see his reaction. It wasn’t very pretty either. He seemed scared out of his mind. Like he didn’t know what to make of her. But nobody did anymore. Nobody knew what to do with her. Nobody did. Not even dad. He left her alone now, pretending like she had a raging teen hormone. When he wasn’t keeping her on lockdown, he encouraged her to go out as much as possible. And she had. Though no one really was sure if they ever saw her, she got around as quickly as she could. Not in the sexual terms either. She was just a rich socialite, beautiful, and vampire daughter. As normal as they came in Louisiana. His little laugh made her focus back on the situation at hand.
"I uh.....I think I'm a call it a night......"[/b Eyes lingered and watched him stand. For a few moments she just sat there. She un pursed her lips, and laid out a couple wads of money, and stood, her height not measuring to his in any way shape or form. Even in the heels she had. A cocked head to the side, and a small smile. “I was just heading out too..” And it was the truth, she wanted to get home early so her dad wouldn’t suspect her of anything to weird. Him mussing his hair, made her realize why he was leaving. She’d completely freaked him out. "It was uh....." Eyebrows lifted, waiting for his placed term. It was scary meeting you? Why thank you. “Was nice meeting you." His out stretched hand, turned her face a quarter of away from him. The handshake, dear god. Something she avoided. What the hell? She stretched out a frigid and cold hand, taking his lightly. “I would say the same..” She didn’t finish her sentence.
Withdrawing her hand, she swooped past Sevanni, shot a smile at Arlene, and waltzed out the door. Not sure if eyes followed. She walked about two blocks, before the sun was fully set. Damn, she’d need to find a payphone now. Heels were the only sound she heard, the cast of a ghost tone haunting her. Like a ghost town, or walking through a cemetery on Halloween night, or really any night. She stopped, blinking.
What the hell was happening. She licked anxious lips, and a pair of hands wrapped around her slender waist. An abrupt cry escaped her lips, before a hand covered her mouth. Trashing about, kicking, trying to land a spot with a heel, or something. Why’d she have to walk on a forsaken road?! Her dad would be so extremely distressed, it wasn’t going to be funny. Recognizing the smell, and the wedding ring from before. The man she’d knocked in the nose before. What the fuck did he have against her? HE was the one who made HER knock him on the nose. He was alone by the looks of it, and they were now in an alleyway.
Having immortality, didn’t mean she’d overpower him. Twice her side, and stronger than her when she was caught off guard. And she was off guard. She didn’t know what to do. Tears sprung at her eyes, and she tried to bite him. Fangs bared and all. She did, but he still held on. “Let me go! Stop!” Screams echoed through the alleyway, and hopefully someone would hear her. The tears fell, till she was crying hysterically. The man threw her against the bricked wall, and she stood, a little shaken. Who the hell was this guy? Why could he match her strength like he was? A shuddering chest, she did her best to stay away from him. But every step of him coming closer to hear, struck fear in a dead heart.

“Iwould say the same..” Spoken as hands touched, preparing himself for the cold she would possibly give out, and she had. She hadn't lied and teased him. It was true. Which was a good thing to let him get out while he could. But she had stood to take her leave as well, which made him all the more nervous to leave. It was a good walk back to his house, and he had a bad feeling something was going to happen.
When she was out of sight Sevanni had turned around to find Arlene in his face, throwing warning words out toward him, a scrunched face and a short eye roll earned him a snag of the shirt. Telling him that he needed to not conversate with vampires like her. She didn't mind Bill all that much, so why was it such a bother with that girl? Because perhaps she was dangerous and they had only met, and that she cared about Sev.
He couldn't tell him about the vampire from the night before, how he had kissed him or how scared he was to be around him. The thrill he got from it all. No. He wouldn't tell anyone, or they would all look at him like they first looked at Sookie. But for some reason in the back of his mind, he didn't much care.
He was hoping this meeting vampires thing wasn't an every night occurance. Maybe staying at home was his better option, but deep down inside he had wanted to see Shaden again. Maybe it was that vampire allure he had always read about. He scared the shit out of him, not only that, but he made him curious and acutely attracted to him.
After going to drain the lizard Sevanni headed back to his booth, the vampire girl nowhere in sight. Rose...that was her name. He snagged hsi coat off of the hook, paying for his bill and tip was no problem. It only took a couple of minutes, and he headed for the door, taking in a deep breath and letting the nightly Bon Temps air hit his lungs.
His coat was left open, not that it was quite chill for it, but he liked wearing coats at night. Especially the one he had now. It had been his father's coat, and his father was a well respected man in Louisiana.
He walked down the dirt trail fromMerlottes, nearly to the end of the road to where it turned off, but he heard a man's voice rather ruefully shouting in the short distance, then a females expression of rage and fear. He could have been mistaken, but he was sure someone was in trouble.
Sevanni thought twice about going to find out what the problem was, but then he turned towards danger and made his way over. When he arrived he found Rose...the vampire girl. Rustled up by the man whom she had proven a point to earlier.
He had lifted something shiny out of his pocket, letting it drape to the ground Sevanni could clearly see now what it was. Silver. His hands held out as a No was shouted from him, the man turning to view him and make a move. Sevanni stepped back, eyes wandering around for a weapon. It was in his nature to help a girl, even a guy for that matter if they needed it.
"Hey....look....." but he was cut off by the man's words of shut the hell up vamp lover, fangbanger, something along those lines. Not that it was true, hell, he'd only met two in his whole life, it just so happened that she was the more meaner of the two. Thus far.
Sev was hoping to stall the man so Rose could at least do something. His eyes searching still while looking back at him. Damn he should have brought his mace or something. It may work on a vampire, but he wasn't so sure.
"Didn't she hurt you enough back there?.....You gotta pick on someone younger and smaller than you? Not to mention she's a girl." Furrowed brows of hope and confusion had been apparent over his facial features, anytime to do something would be a good thing. so long as he didn't raise that silver and toss it at her.

The feeling of sudden resentment washed over. She was going to die here. Right now. And she didn’t even know how. She could tell though, the pain was going to be excruciating. The only way..no there was no way. She was going to die. And then she saw what he held in his hand. Silver. And that was all she saw. Time had stopped. The people had disappeared. It was just her and that silver. That long line of silver that would end her.. She was only sixteen years old. And if someone didn’t get this man taken down, she’d die sixteen. And then a no was shouted from some lips that weren’t hers. Shot back to reality, she saw..Sevanni? Standing there, the words his. She almost cried, with relief and pity. Sevanni had come to rescue her. But he was a human. So one of them would die. That silver thing would kill her quicker then it would him. So the odds were not in her favor in the least. Her eyes shot back to the silver, fangs peeking though parted lips. "Hey....look....." She wanted to yell at him to shut his trap. Was he trying to get them both killed? The words cut off with vulgar adjectives. Jaw clenching and unclenching.
Seeing the words, now clearly, she took the time to inch her way slowly left, away and out of the way. She just hope it’d be enough. The man swiveled his head, back to Rose. She went to move, but the silver was out of his hand. Waited for the silver to tinge her. She didn’t make a run for it, knowing it’d only be worse. So she stood there, arms against the wall, legs slightly apart. The silver hit between her legs, closest to her right thigh, high up and almost touching. Astonished eyes peered down at the blunt end of it. Did he purposefully try and miss her. "Didn't she hurt you enough back there?.....You gotta pick on someone younger and smaller than you? Not to mention she's a girl." Eyes flashed, and shot Sevanni her own devil inspired eyes. He was going to fucking pay. After she did with silver. Even having silver near her, made her want to tumble over, get away from it. But now she was pinned, unable to move. “I don’t care if she hurt me..I just need her dead..and something of hers..” The deep voice of that silver throwing freak muttered, followed by a thick laugh.
Creep.
Then the realization hit her. He’d pinned her on the wall, so he could kill her. Take her blood. Her jaw hung slightly ajar. She was sixteen! Another light got caught in the glint of his hand. More silver. A little whimper caught the edge of her lips. “Please…” spoken so softly. “Please don’t let me die..” Rose wouldn’t let tears spill unless the pain was too much. The man admired the silver, twisting in it his hand. Rose tried to wedge herself out of the position she was in, but decided not to. She didn’t need to be shot down by silver and foam at the mouth.
The man raised the silver, and Rose traced it’s every moment. And it was gone, out of his hand. In her chest, right before it shattered her sternum. A startled, strangled, and desperate cry ran through her. She needed to pull it out. But at the risk of burning her hand? Better than her chest, permanently. She sucked in a breath, held on as hard, and ignoring the pain as much as she could, went to pull out the silver. It didn’t budge. All she accomplished was burning her hand. The tears pricked her, but she wouldn’t cry. She wouldn’t cry. Wouldn’t cry. Another pang lashed at her now. The pain now near her hip.
Stuck to the wall, she was his target. He’d keep throwing those things at her till she stopped breathing. Pained eyes looked past, and to Sevanni, needing help. She’d die if this guy didn’t stop throwing that silver at her. Her body would look like major third degree burns. Sucking in shuddering breaths, she timed them. So they wouldn’t hurt as much as it did now. The breathing, right beneath her sternum. “Please..don’t let me die..” she repeated again. This time to any ear that would listen.

“I don’t care if she hurt me..I just need her dead..and something of hers..” He had heard of things like this. Happenings. People who raided down vampires with silver and dragged them off in the night to drain them of their blood. He assumed it was only one of those campfire stories, but after last year on how Sookie met Bill, Sev had realized that they weren't campfire stories. Not anymore. His heart was racing a mile a minute. He didn't know the girl, she was rather threatening back at Merlottes, so why was he finding himself caught in a fight that wasn't his? Because; he was always at the wrong place at the wrong time.
He flinched when the silver was thrown. Rose's plea sent out. “Please…Please don’t let me die..” What the hell did she expect him to do? He was a freakin mortal for crying sakes. He didn't have strength like her and clearly the man was larger than him. He did know a few moves, but nothing that would not only take him down, but release the vampire as well.
His fists had clenched as he threw the silver once more, shoving his leg up and kicking him in the groin hard causing him to keel back and grab himself. Sevanni reached down and grabbed the patches he bore by his side, the silver chains in hand gathered and he swung his arm so that the metal would brush hard against his face. He ran, silver in hand, pulling at the few that were draped against her as if they had webbed tentacles. Pulling them from her skin which smoked and some places had seemingly sizzled.
He turned his head back to make sure the man was still keeled over, rushingly grasping the chains and pummeling for her hand. The man was yelling out, anchoring for them to stop. Winding to his feet, but by the time he had planted them firmly on the ground he was dragging the little vampire by the arm and tugging her along through the woods.
The man was still shouting, yelling after them. His breath was running high, catching heightened urges of a new heart rate, wishing he was stronger, glad he wasn't a vampire who would have ended up along side her.
When the yelling ceased he had made it a point to dig a bit further into the brush of trees and wild before stopping. Hands moving over knees as he hunched over and tried to capture his breath. Damn him for helping her. The very same person who threatened his life. But Sev wasn't the kind of guy to just sit by and let someone, dead or alive, be killed by someone else. It just wasn't in his nature.
"Are.....are you okay?" He asked while catching his breath, not bothering to look over and witness actual steam come off her body. Or anyone's body for that matter. Things were weird enough without that happening. How long did they have to wait? How long would it take for him to escape this vampire? Shaden had proven to be most difficult to leave in the beginning, were they all the same?
Sevanni could have died back there, would she be grateful? Appreciative? Probably not. Maybe. He wasn't sure. Not only were girls difficult to read, they were a mess now a days when it came to a man saving a woman's life. Shit, she was still a child.

It happened faster then she’d imagined it would. Springing into action, keeling the man over. She didn’t feel quite right. Quite put together. She’d seen better days. A queasy feeling rising in her, her focus becoming blurry. What was happening to her? Was this how a vampire died? The feeling of silver on her hand, chest, hip, and close to her thigh was starting to steam. Rose’s lids fluttered nervously. Dad. She wanted he dad. Wanted him to tell her it’d be alright. Because she knew that it wasn’t. And then the silver was out, gleamed with her blood. Her rich and dark blood. She almost fell onto hi, unable to stand on her own. She’d never been hit by that. Never been impaled like that in her entire life. And then they were running. Hand in his, she couldn’t do anything. Clothing stained, eyes closed most of the run. Not knowing where they were going. Muffled shouts were heard behind her, but she couldn’t stop. Stumbled a few times, almost fainted, but didn’t stop running. She couldn’t stop running. She’d die if she did. And that, was not good. They were in the woods?
They stopped moving, peering from half closed lids, she watched him pant like a dog. Even in this state, she smirked. Such a human thing. Feeling the shift in her body, she fell to her own knees, laying back on the soft brush of grass. She wanted to sleep. So she closed her eyes, pale and lined with some type of sweat. Did they sweat? She’d been one for almost a year now. Shouldn’t she have done some reading up? She looked a mess now. Extremely, pale skin. "Are.....are you okay?" Rose’s eyes moved through underneath the lids. She didn’t have the voice to talk. Her wounds hurt to bad. Who knew someone like that man..could impale her like that. Her hip the worse part. The clothing singed away at corners, the burn sizzling, crinkled and black, could almost reveal a white bone. Her hip bone, or if you liked technical, pelvis. Her sternum didn’t hurt..but without touching it she could feel the hollowness of it. A little whine came from her throat. The pain was searing.
The pain. “Am I…going to die..?” She asked, eyes shut and body rigid and cold. Sevanni didn’t need to save her. He could have just left her there. But he saved her. That counted for something after she’d scared the living shit out of him. Yes. It did.

Post by Adelaide Boudreaux on Sept 3, 2009 22:28:15 GMT -5
It was rare for Adelaide to be out walking alone so late, but now she was glad that she had decided to venture out. Walking through an alley hadn't seemed like a good idea at the time, and then when she heard terrified screams and angry shouts she had felt even more sure that it was a bad idea. But she could never not help someone in trouble so she automatically ran after the shouts.
She came out of the alley and towards the woods just in time to catch sight of a large man chasing two younger looking adults. One of whom looked like a young girl. Now that pissed her off.
Addie ran after them, her heart pounding. This night was turning out to be very interesting. She thought about just shifting quickly, her current shift was a bear from her recent hike through the backwoods. She could maul the man within in inch of his life. But then she'd have to figure out how to get home as a bear...or naked. Neither option seemed to be a good one, so she just kept running after them.
The man was slowing down and Addie began to gain ground on him quickly. As an American, Adelaide knew her rights. She had long ago bought a nice collection of handguns and gotten permits to carry each and every one of them. So that was what she relied on now, her hands deftly reached into the case strapped around her stomach that hid a .9 mm in the small of her back. Removing the gun, she held it comfortably in her hands. It was clear from her hold on the weapon that she knew how to use it.
"Sir...I'm going to have to ask you to stop chasing those people and turn around to face me." The man laughed aloud until he turned and saw her pointing the gun at him. She saw the knowledge of her obvious ability with the weapon dawn on his face. She smiled and nodded. "That's right sir, I'm more than capable of dropping you right now from this distance. What were you doing following them?"
"It's just some skanky vampire and a fangbanger. I was gonna drain that bitch and sell the V to support my family. You got a problem with that?" The man gave Addie a once-over and then smiled. "Though, you know, now that I think about it. It might be more fun to play with you." He took some staggering steps towards her but was stopped when she flipped the safety off on her gun.
"Sir, I'm going to say this one time and one time only. You need to go home and not try to proposition anyone else tonight. If I find out that you've put your hands on another woman, I will track you down, chop off your balls, and feed them to you in your favorite stew. You understand me?" The man needed only to look at her face to know she was serious. He nodded. "Good, now scram." He did so immediately, running off before she could do anything else.
Addie flipped the safety back on and then proceeded into the woods. She came across the two young people and gasped when she smelled the blood of the girl. She really was a vampire, the man hadn't just been some idiotic fanatic.
She'd come across men like him before that hurt innocent humans thinking they were vampires, or vampire-sympathizers. Most of the time, they were men that belonged to the Light of Day church.
Adelaide had no patience for those damn LODI freaks.
God had only ever preached peace among all men. Vampires might be dead but they were still god's creatures, god's creations. Some people took defending their belief's too far.
Focusing on the two people once more, Addie sighed.
"Are you two alright? I was headin' home and I heard your screams." She moved over to kneel beside the vampire girl. She had some horrible burns on her and Addie knew it was the type of wound that silver left. "Oh cher, you need blood badly."

“Am I…going to die..?” She crossed out as Sevanni lifted eyes. He never really bothered to care whether or not she was going to die or live. Vampires were immortal, and it had only been silver. "Silver." He whispered it so low. It must have been true. The screams she sent out when it touched her skin. The way the man had been adamant about holding her down with it. Vampires were allergic to silver. Maybe something best used to keep them at bay since they were all popping up around him.
"I don't know." He went to take a few steps toward her. Maybe assist in taking out some of the metal. Then he heard rustling and stood up straight, his breath managed to simmer down, but his heartbeat was still racing.
"Are you two alright? I was headin' home and I heard your screams." Well where the fuck was she when he was out there up against some big fucker who would have killed them both? Not that he was ungratful, she must have been the reason why he stopped chasing after them.
"I'm okay....She's not..." He fused in the vampires direction, the youngling laying on the ground, injured but not yet dead. He wondered if anyone else would find out about this, which meant now Sevanni was going to be a mark for the L.O.D.I.'s and all the vampires around in Bon Temps would eventually flock toward him as a supporter. Not something he wanted. He had already met one vampire too many and the second one was unruly to him. She was lucky he heard her screaming or else she'd be up on a cross waiting for the sun to rise.
"Oh cher, you need blood badly." The woman spoke to her, Sevanni had backed away little by little. There was no way he was letting some game vampire bite him. No....not her. Not in a million years....
Nervousness encompassed his form, the toneless voice shimmered out as he spoke. "I...uh.....I should go....." No biting tonight. Or any other night. Not from a vampire.
Who the other woman was he wasn't sure, but he didn't want to get mixed up in any of this. Bon Temps was a small place and he wasn't such an unnoticeable person.
His foot stepped on a twig, breaking it and snapping, causing him to jump and look around just in case. His nerves were really overworked tonight. After what she had done to scare him earlier in the diner, it wouldn't come as a surprise that she would do it again. Even if she was packed with silver and slowly popping them out to heal. He just felt as though there was something incredibly wrong with her.
The nerd he was, the lack of fight in him was no match for a vampire. Nor was any other humans. If the woman wanted to stay and assist her, there was no need for him to hang around.

It’d been just her and Sevanni, and then some other girl pranced along. For once, Rose felt glad. Maybe this girl could save her. Maybe this girl could provide blood for her. Rose was going to die. And she was only sixteen. Why? Why did she have to be a vampire? Why couldn’t she be a normal girl? Huh? "Are you two alright? I was headin' home and I heard your screams." Rose normally would have snapped at the girl. Insulted her intelligence to some level. But now was not the time for that. One, she had skin that resembled a wax candle. Burning like acid, making her squirm. Why hadn’t she just stayed home? That’s what her father would have wanted. That was the smartest thing.. "I'm okay....She's not..." Again, she would have snapped at him, insult his intelligence too. Did she really look alright? No. She didn’t. So why state the obvious when they should have been doing something to make her alright.
"Oh cher, you need blood badly."
She let out a low growl. Obviously! What was up with people just stating the obvious over, and over again? Maybe the humans had a broken record that played over and over again in their head. State the obvious. State the obvious. State the obvious. Her eyes fluttered, but she saw Sevanni backing away. "I...uh.....I should go....." She rolled her eyes. “Fine..leave..you little pu-“ She didn’t finish her sentence, she swallowed air, feeling herself get weaker. Sooner or later she’d have to embrace death.
Her dad would hate and miss her. Hate her for not telling him what she was. Miss her because she’d eventually be dead if something wasn’t done. She closed her eyes, the droopiness they were causing tiring her quicker then what she was used to. Was this what it was like, when people told you not to go to sleep? Was she going to sleep? It felt like it, the drowsiness. It almost seemed inviting to her. She felt weak, and let her limbs go weak. Keeping them moving, was tiring as well. Death. This was what it was. The moment she’d been fearing, it was finally here..
