Okies, so, if you are unfamiliar with proboards, or how to post a reply or start a thread, this will hopefully show you how to do so.
Questions are most welcome below for support.
Images are scaled down, so simply click them to view it as a bigger image and follow along.
Let's start with locating a board.
In this doc, we will be heading to Merlottes to start a thread and to post a reply for a current open thread.
As we look on the main page of the forum, we scroll down to locate Merlottes. Which is in Bon Temps.
Now, once we are in Bon Temps, we scroll down once more and locate Merlottes as you see below.
For now we are going to start a new thread. This will be for when you make your own storyline and post with another player, or you can mark it closed next to the title if it's only something you want displayed that happens to your character and don't want anyone to post in it but you.
This shows you the elements which you will need to fill in once you hit the new thread button.
This shows you a couple of the main post marks you can use when posting. You can always hit the preview button to see what your post looks like before you submit it. The I is for Italic, U is for underline, and S with the line through it is forstrikethrough. Here we show you how to use Bold font with the B, and the [*blockquote] tag which keeps your words in a pushed together paragraph. The more blockquotes you enter the smaller your paragraphs will get.
I have added some sizing and colors here for you to view. It shows you what it looks like before you post the reply up for viewing. You can also see what it looks like in Preview.
This is what it will look like afterward.
Now, if you are going to reply to a thread, you will follow the same steps above, only instead of starting a new thread, you will click a thread already listed that you are either in, or want to join in. Note: Some threads are marked with a persons name, Which means only the thread starter and that person are allowed to play in that thread.
I want you all to remember to space your paragraphs, use the spell check, and make sure your posts are at least 300 words or more. Even if you are a beginner, you can use details. Like what your character is wearing, how the scenery around them is, how they feel, blushes, how they laugh, their voice tone. Anything you can think of to get those words in. Don't rush, take your time.
I hope this helps. If you need more assistance staff or anyone else available will be happy to help if they have time.
